VITAL
Known for his intricate, detailed abstractions and designs, Andrew Antonaccio is one of the most celebrated creators in the Wynwood Arts District in Miami, FL, USA. Embodied by a digital medium mixed with traditional aesthetic and then translated into murals, installations, and sculptures. In this, our increasingly technocentric society, these compositions work by developing interpretations in the viewer's mind without being constrained by the historical reality of the captured images. Such pieces deceive the eye upon interaction as they are difficult to register with the naked eye (human vision). By doing so, the viewer is prompted to interact with the work through a screen, transforming a regular everyday experience. This newfound interaction leaves most spectators in a state of amazement and increases the dynamic interplay among the audience, technology, and the work of art. From these digital sketches, the artist translates the works into physical forms, including large-scale murals, painted works, interactive installations, and sculptures.
Antonaccio travels to expand his installations and mural portfolios. His works adorn spaces worldwide, from Miami, NYC, to LA, and internationally, such as Mexico, Montreal, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Cuba. In addition to his public art, Antonaccio has gained attention for his gallery pieces. He has shown his work and curated exhibitions. His unique pieces are part of private collections, hotels, and corporate headquarters. One of his best commissions to draw global attention is a custom exterior artwork for a Falcon 500 Jet, with his distinct linear technique, and a large-scale biophilic architectural mural, "Daylife Swimmer," at the One Hotel, Miami Beach. Antonaccio's artwork has also been featured in the New York Times and on the cover of Interior Design Magazine.
